Aeroponic Strawberry Tower 36 Sites 155cm. Strawberries are awkward in a flat bed because the runners and fruit compete for the same strip of media. Also, lifting them onto a column solves both at once. This tower holds thirty six plants over six layers on a base barely two thirds of a metre square.

Greenhouse floors, polytunnel ends, restaurant courtyards and farm shops where strawberry has to be picked at waist height.
Set the base level, stack the column, fit the pump and pipe set, then plug in the timer so the mist cycles. After planting into sponge there is nothing to do but check the tank each week.
The complete kit removes the usual hunt for a pump that matches the pipe. Every part is stocked as a spare too. As a result, a damaged section years later does not mean replacing the tower. You can read more about the background of this method on Aeroponics.

Yes, herbs, lettuce and small flowering crops all do well with the same spacing.
It cycles the mist on and off through the day. As a result, roots get feed and air in turn.
