Dual Layer NFT Channel 100x55mm. The dual layer NFT channel combines a black inner layer that blocks light with a white outer layer that reflects heat. As a result, the nutrient film stays dark and cool. At the same time, the root zone keeps its temperature. The integrated unopen lid keeps the profile closed along its whole length. This is why large lettuce projects choose this section to keep algae under control.

This dual layer NFT channel is aimed at lettuce and leafy green production in commercial greenhouses, container farms and indoor vertical racks. The light-proof interior makes it a strong choice for warm houses where algae would otherwise colonise a single-colour channel within weeks.
The closed lid means there is no lid to remove for cleaning. As a result, the dual layer NFT channel is flushed through the end caps instead. Rows are laid on a support frame with a slight fall, connected with standard fittings. Also, the drain outlet is tied back to your reservoir so the film recirculates continuously.
GNFORTUNE co-extrudes both layers in a single pass. As a result, the black and white layers cannot separate over time. Every dual layer NFT channel is made from virgin food-grade PVC, certified to RoHS and inspected for wall thickness before packing. Also, we supply the matching end caps, connectors and support clips with each order. You can read more about the background of this method on Nutrient film technique.

It blocks light from reaching the nutrient film. Without light, algae cannot grow. This keeps the dual layer NFT channel clean and the root zone healthy.
